Job Summary
Recruit and hire store associates, then foster their growth through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting as needed. Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations, enforce company policies and procedures, and maintain full compliance with applicable laws. Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters to help the store reach maximum profit contribution. Perform opening and closing procedures, protect company assets, and ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions. Requires minimum 3 years prior retail management experience, hardlines or variety merchandise experience, and ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. Full-time role with quarterly bonuses for meeting performance goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience
- Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise
- BIG BOX experience
- Strong productivity management in freight processing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Must be able to lift up between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
