Job Summary
Direct management and oversight of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure implementation of established company policies, standards, and initiatives. Partner with Assistant Store Manager and Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions, and pricing. Act as Manager on Duty (MOD), leading by example to model Burlington SOPs while handling personnel and associate relations issues. Manage multi-million-dollar sales volume and expense budget, including review of all associated reporting and record-keeping. Recruit, screen, and hire associates to meet staffing needs, while facilitating onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching. Facilitate effective communication and partnerships among the store team, district, and regional management teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule; including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs
- Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software
- Travel may be required from time to time
