Job Summary
Store Manager role responsible for maintaining store standards, staffing, product displays, pricing accuracy, back-of-house layout, safety compliance, training, recruitment, scheduling, inventory control, and brand representation. Requires leadership of a 15+ member team, experience with POS and cash reconciliation, knowledge of cannabis retail regulations (AGCO/Bill 11), data analysis, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must pass criminal background check, hold CanSell certification, and be available for rotating shifts in a Hamilton, Ontario cannabis retail environment. The position emphasizes customer experience, health and safety adherence, security procedures, and acting as a brand ambassador at community events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in the retail or related service industry
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a supervisory/management role
- High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education in Business Accounting courses or equivalent asset
- Proven ability to lead a team of 15+ team members
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Valid CanSell certification
- Knowledge of Bill 11: The Safe and Responsible Retailing of Cannabis Act
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to analyze data to make decisions
- Available to work rotating shifts including: days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
- Detail oriented and able to handle cash, and operate a POS register
- Must be enthusiastic, friendly, optimistic, outgoing, and a team player
- Strong organizational, communication, time management and problem-solving skills
