Job Summary
Store Manager overseeing all store operations to achieve sales targets and maintain customer service standards. Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating and disciplining staff per territorial/national standards; managing health and safety, labor relations, promotions, merchandising, donations processing, inventory levels, and financial reporting to regional offices. Leads a team of sales associates and volunteers, plans store layout and promotions, analyzes financial statements, and collaborates with Salvation Army agencies to deliver emergency and disaster services as assigned. Requires strong leadership, problem-solving, relationship management, and ability to drive a value-driven, service-oriented store environment; familiar with Microsoft Office and retail/fundraising best practices; willingness to comply with OH&S regulations and organization policies.
Required Qualifications
- College Diploma in Business Retail Management or equivalent (asset)
- Basic accounting skills
- First aid training or willing to learn in-house
- Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- 3 years of progressive experience in retail
- Thrift retail experience is an asset
- Fashion background is an asset
- Experience with Not-for-Profit/Charitable sector is an asset
- French language is an asset
