Job Summary
As a SONIC Drive-In Store Manager, you lead trained Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops to deliver exemplary food service, including opening/closing duties, staffing, inventory, payroll records, and implementing a marketing plan. You will hire and train staff, ensure compliance with the employee handbook and health/sanitation regulations, resolve guest concerns, supervise shift operations, prepare operational reports, and drive actions to improve financial/sales trends. You will oversee scheduling, cost controls, and staff development to maintain a customer-focused, efficient, clean, and safe drive-in experience with a strong emphasis on leadership, communication, and adherence to standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred)
- Experience running shifts without supervision
- Willingness to work a minimum 5 day workweek with 3 closing shifts including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
- Leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic accounting and computer skills
- Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems
- Problem solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills
- Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC
