Job Summary
Lead store operations by staffing, training, and developing leadership teams to deliver sales and profit results while maintaining a friendly shopping environment. Manage Stockroom, Front End, and Sales Floor functions to ensure timely merchandise flow, proper receipt, and expense control through best practices. Analyze store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and performance, addressing variances to company standards with action plans. Recruit, hire, and train Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors, and Associates; reduce turnover through incentive programs and retention tools. Supervise payroll administration, scheduling compliance, and loss prevention efforts including inventory processes and markdowns. Ensure adherence to safety policies, emergency procedures, and all state, local, and federal regulations. Model professional appearance and brand standards while coaching associates on customer service, merchandise presentation, and efficient register operations. Work evenings and weekends in a 10-hour or 8-hour shift, utilizing independent judgment to execute store objectives.
Required Qualifications
- TWO or more years of Store management experience in a retail environment
- Must maintain a high level of Customer service
- Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels
- Ability to train, coach, and develop Associates at all levels
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks necessary to accomplish goals, develop a schedule to complete tasks, and execute to achieve results
- Fluency in English
- Must exercise considerable independent judgment and discretion
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store
- Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store
- Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
