Store Manager (Retail Garden Center/Modesto, CA)

Maximize daily operations, increase store profitability, and manage employees with the highest standards. Oversee all store aspects to ensure success while meeting sales goals and controlling labor costs against the payroll budget. Maintain customer service objectives by handling complaints professionally and recruiting new customers and staff. Enforce company policies, control inventory through receiving and transfers, and coordinate deliveries and outgoing transfers. Perform opening and closing duties, including banking and deposits, while providing reports to corporate office. Conduct store meetings, guide department tasks, and perform HR duties such as hiring, training, and annual performance reviews. Resolve internal conflicts and ensure the facility is clean, stocked, and compliant with OSHA regulations. Weekend availability and flexibility regarding shifts are required.
