Job Summary
Establish and maintain outstanding guest services by greeting every customer and ensuring a warm, friendly environment. Oversee store operations, including inventory control, merchandise presentation, and sales floor stocking to maximize profitability. Lead and develop the team through daily training, coaching, performance monitoring, and recruitment, while conducting regular staff meetings and safety walks. Collaborate with the District Manager to implement plans that meet store goals and objectives. Manage payroll hours, operating costs, and inventory shrinkage in adherence to company policies. Work varied shifts on a rotational basis, including weekends and before/after hours, with occasional travel to other stores.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 5 years of experience in retail store
- At least 2 years in supervisory or lead role
- Motivating, positive, helpful attitude
- Experience in performance management, training and developing team members, able to recognize and celebrate team members success
- Inquisitiveness and desire to learn
- Promotes a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and educating other team members. Engages with team members in a positive, professional, and supportive manner
- Highly accountable, ethical and has integrity
- Able to manage their own and team members time effectively
- Ability to delegate
- Good problem solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with computers and learning new systems and software.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to and over 45 pounds
