Job Summary
Open and close the store based on company guidelines while maintaining merchandise presentation, replenishing inventory, and ensuring general housekeeping. Manage loss prevention practices by safeguarding funds and property, operating alarm systems, and educating staff on shrink causes. Drive sales productivity through daily goal communication and executing promotions, while training new staff and addressing performance issues. Ensure accurate promotional set-up, maintain wall displays, and oversee cash control and banking procedures. Communicate with the District Manager on all operational activities and maintain store compliance with safety and facility standards. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to meet store volume requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Ability to perform high school level math
- Ability to operate a POS cash register, calculator, scanner and related equipment
- Reliable transportation
- Must meet the minimum age of 18
- Ability to provide a phone number to be reached in case of store emergency by Alarm Company or staff members
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Ability to work evenings and weekends and holidays, as necessary
- Ability to maintain a business-like, professional and well groomed appearance at all times
- Ability to lift 10 lbs or less
- Ability to lift 11-20 lbs
- Ability to lift 21-50 lbs
- Ability to push or pull 12 lbs or less
- Ability to push or pull 13-25 lbs
- Ability to push or pull 26-40 lbs
- Ability to stand constantly

- Minimum of 18 months experience as a Sr. Service Manager or 1 year as an Assistant Store Manager with Melrose or a similar retail environment or 1 year experience as a Store Manager in a similar retail environment
- Manage 4 or more staff members
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Store Manager in a lower volume store at Melrose or a similar retail environment
- 18 months experience as an Assistant Store Manager at Melrose or equivalent position in a similar retail environment
- Manage 6 or more staff members
Desired Qualifications
- General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required
- Experience as a Store Manager in a similar retail environment
- Experience as an Assistant Store Manager at Melrose or equivalent position in a similar retail environment
