Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations including scheduling, budgeting, sales performance, and inventory control while ensuring adherence to operational standards and security protocols. Lead and coach the team on selling standards, recruiting, and training new associates to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Implement marketing and financial strategies, review key performance metrics with staff, and establish relationships with mall management. Perform standard retail tasks such as opening/closing the store, processing transactions, and addressing maintenance concerns. Requires 3-5 years of retail leadership experience and flexibility for weekend, holiday, and overtime shifts. Located in Riverhead, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of proven retail leadership experience
- Strong selling experience with the proven ability to meet or exceed performance standards
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in attracting, developing and retaining strong talent
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility with the ability to work opening/closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Strong working knowledge of POS systems
- Ability to move a minimum of 25 pounds
- Ability to effectively maneuver around the sales floor, and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and ascending/descending ladder to stock and merchandise store
- Ability to work with/around cleaning chemicals
