Job Summary
Store Manager in Training role focusing on building and leading a retail team through a comprehensive training program. Responsibilities include recruiting, selecting and orienting staff; training, coaching, mentoring and evaluating sales staff to meet and exceed sales goals; scheduling and assigning employees; monitoring controllable expenses; ensuring legal and brand standards; keeping the store clean, stocked, organized, and customer-ready; building customer loyalty through rapport; creating a positive, motivating team environment; addressing customer concerns promptly; analyzing daily sales and expenses to maximize profitability; handling banking and cash management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience in retail/customer service environment
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Must be able to stand, bend, walk for long periods of time, for 7+hours per day
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance
- Reliable transportation, flexible availability including nights and weekends
