Store Manager in Training

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program at CVS Health is designed to develop you into a CVS Store Manager over a 16-week period with a mix of virtual and hands-on learning. You will collaborate with leaders such as the District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach to build leadership and operational capabilities. Key responsibilities include communicating effectively to support and lead your team, performing customer care duties to deliver high levels of service, executing merchandising strategies to drive store sales, and managing store inventory and assets to sustain profitability. The program emphasizes active engagement with leadership experiences and supports progression toward Store Manager roles within the designated market, with flexibility to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores as needed. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred (or relevant retail management experience in lieu of a degree). Previous retail management experience or CVS supervision experience is valued, and the organization expects you to be willing to accept promotion roles as opportunities arise.
