Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused program designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager role over a structured 16-week period, with both virtual and hands-on learning. You will collaborate with leaders and the Store Manager coach to develop leadership competencies, perform customer care duties, execute merchandising strategies to support store sales, and manage store inventory and assets. The program emphasizes growth toward a leadership career within CVS, including participation in key learning experiences, alignment with CVS values, and potential for promotion to store leadership within the designated market. Requirements include effective verbal and written communication, ability to support and lead a team, and willingness to accept promotion roles within the market; a high school diploma or GED is required, with a four-year degree preferred or relevant work experience considered in lieu of a degree.
