Job Summary
The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused program designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position over a 16-week, self-paced and collaborative training period with both virtual and hands-on learning experiences. You will support and lead the team, perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service, execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth, and manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. You’ll engage with leaders to support your growth toward leadership, participate in Key Learning Experiences, and be willing to accept promotion roles within the designated market. The program emphasizes CVS values, safe practices, and a pathway toward future store management, with promotion timing dependent on performance and openings. The role requires effective verbal and written communication, a willingness to lead as part of a management team, and flexibility to work varying schedules. This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package and is aimed at developing you toward future store leadership, potentially transferring to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the market.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores located within the designated market
- Anticipated Weekly Hours 45
- Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs
