Store Manager in Training

Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position, spanning 16 weeks of self-paced and collaborative training with virtual and hands-on learning. You’ll work with a leadership team including your District Leader, HRBP, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach. Responsibilities include communicating effectively to lead your team, delivering customer care, executing merchandising strategies to support store sales growth, and managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. You will actively engage with leaders during Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion, support the store as a management team member in line with CVS values, and be willing to accept promotion roles within the designated market. The program notes that promotion to Store Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and openings. Additional requirements include willingness to transfer within the designated market, ability to work a varying schedule, and holding a HS diploma/GED (or higher) with a preferred Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided for this full-time role, with anticipated weekly hours of 45.
