Job Summary
The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused program designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager role over 16 weeks, with virtual and hands-on learning and a structured leadership path. You’ll support and lead a team, perform customer care duties, execute merchandising strategies to drive store sales, and manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. You’ll collaborate with leaders and mentors (District Leader, HRBP, Training Store Manager, Store Manager coach) to grow toward promotion, engage colleagues in company values, and be ready to assume store leadership roles in the designated market. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager at any location in the market and to transfer between CVS Pharmacy stores is expected. The role requires a schedule that varies with business needs, and a background in retail management or CVS supervision is preferred alongside a high school diploma or GED (a four-year college degree is preferred or considered in lieu of degree). The anticipated weekly hours are 45, and the pay range is $18.50-$26.25 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other eligibility-based resources.
