Job Summary
Store Manager in Training (SMIT) is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. The program spans 16 weeks with self-paced, collaborative training delivered through virtual and hands-on experiences. You will work with leaders including your District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach to build leadership capabilities. Responsibilities include communicating effectively to support and lead your team, handling customer care to provide high levels of service, executing merchandising strategies to drive store sales, and managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. You are expected to actively engage with leaders during key learning experiences, support store operations as a management team member, and participate in promotions within your market. Willingness to relocate/promote within the designated market and transfer to CVS Pharmacy stores as needed is required. The role emphasizes adherence to CVS values and policies and positions you for potential advancement to Store Manager depending on performance and openings. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree
- Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor
- A high school diploma or GED is required - A four year college degree is preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
