Job Summary
Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused program designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. The 16-week structured program includes virtual and hands-on learning with support from a District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach. Responsibilities include communicating effectively to lead a team, delivering customer care, executing merchandising strategies to drive store sales, and managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. The role requires active engagement with leadership learning experiences, supporting the store as a management team member, aligning with CVS values and policies, and readiness to accept promotion roles within the designated market. The program does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position and promotion depends on performance and openings. Willingness to relocate or transfer within the designated market and to work a schedule that may vary with business needs is anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree
- Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores located within the designated market
- Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs
- Anticipated Weekly Hours 45
- Time Type Full time
