Job Summary
STORE MANAGER at Dollar General in Tigerton, WI. Responsible for the management of all employees and the effective planning and implementation of store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. Recruit, select and retain qualified employees, provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address gaps through counseling or termination as needed. Oversee staffing, opening/closing, and ensure store security and cash handling integrity. Monitor operating statements for sales, profitability, and inventory trends; manage stock replenishment, pricing, signage, and merchandising; maintain inventory accuracy and physical store conditions. Enforce company policies, ensure safety, compliance with federal/state labor laws, and deliver strong customer service leadership. Maintain documentation and communicate performance expectations regularly, coordinating meetings and events as required. Qualifications include knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, merchandising, and ability to read documents; bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred. High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred; one year of management experience in retail environment preferred. The role involves frequent walking/standing, lifting up to 40 pounds (55 pounds occasionally), and occasional travel between stores for deposits and meetings.
