Job Summary
Store Manager responsible for supervising all store employees and leading the planning/implementation of store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel up to termination when necessary. Manage opening/closing responsibilities (minimum two open/close appearances per week), analyze operating statements (sales, profitability, inventory, shrink), ensure in-stock targets, manage inventory and pricing, maintain merchandise presentation, and uphold cash handling and security practices. Lead customer service, maintain a clean and safe store environment, ensure compliance with company policies, and complete documentation by deadlines. Requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills; some locations may prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents, basic math
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices
- Ability to open/close store regularly
- Understanding of safety and security procedures
- Bilingual Spanish speakers preferred at certain locations
