Job Summary
Store Manager at Dollar General responsible for managing all store employees, planning and implementing store processes (ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support), recruiting and retaining qualified staff, training and evaluating performance, determining pay/advancement recommendations, enforcing safety and policy expectations, ensuring proper opening/closing, reviewing operating statements for trends, managing inventory and stock targets, merchandise presentation and pricing, maintaining inventory accuracy and cash controls, delivering superior customer service leadership, keeping the store clean and secure, ensuring compliance with SOP and policies, and overseeing documentation. Requires strong reading/comprehension of safety and operating procedures, math, cash handling, inventory management, merchandising, communication, and leadership; bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred. High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred and one year of retail management experience preferred.
