Job Summary
Store Manager at Dollar General responsible for the management of all store employees and the planning/implementation of store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. Duties include recruiting, selecting and retaining qualified employees in compliance with labor laws; training and evaluating staff; communicating performance and safety expectations; opening/closing the store, monitoring sales and inventory trends, executing stock replenishment and merchandising standards, maintaining cash control and store security, and delivering superior customer service. Requires ability to read/interpret procedures, perform basic math, cash handling, inventory management, effective communication, and leadership to recruit and develop staff; bilingual Spanish preferred in some locations.
