Job Summary
STORE MANAGER role in Muskogee, OK overseeing all store processes: planning and executing ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. Responsibilities include recruiting and retaining qualified employees, training and evaluating performance, advising on pay and advancement, ensuring compliance with safety and labor policies, opening/closing the store several times per week, monitoring sales, profitability and inventory trends, managing stock replenishment, maintaining merchandising standards, ensuring cashier accountability and cash control, delivering superior customer service, maintaining a clean and secure environment, and enforcing company policies. Requirements include strong retail management experience, cash handling knowledge, inventory/merchandising know-how, recruiting and coaching skills, and strong communication and organizational abilities. Preferred education is a high school diploma or equivalent; one year of management experience in retail is favored.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents and safety rules
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to solve problems in varied situations
- Ability to supervise and develop staff
