Job Summary
Store Manager position at Dollar General in Latrobe, PA responsible for overall store operations, staffing, training, and performance management. Leads recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions; ensures proper staffing, cashier accountability, inventory management, merchandising standards, pricing and signage, and financial controls. Responsibilities also include opening/closing the store, analyzing sales and inventory trends, coordinating safety and compliance, delivering superior customer service, and maintaining a clean, secure work and shopping environment. Requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with experience in retail management and cash handling; bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred in some locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents and operate basic mathematical calculations
