Job Summary
Store Manager responsible for leading all store operations in Lander, including staffing, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, cash handling, inventory management, merchandising, pricing and signage, compliance with policies and federal laws, and ensuring a safe, inviting shopping environment. Key duties include recruiting and retaining qualified employees, evaluating operating statements and inventory control, opening/closing the store multiple times per week, maintaining planograms and stock levels, and providing superior customer service leadership. Requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to manage staffing and training, and knowledge of retail procedures with emphasis on cash control and safety. Bilingual Spanish is a noted preference in some locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (strongly preferred)
- One year of management experience in a retail environment (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance
