Job Summary
Store Manager responsible for the management of all store employees and all store processes in Jacksonville, including staffing, training, scheduling, inventory management, cash handling, merchandising, and customer service leadership. Responsibilities include recruiting and retaining qualified staff, conducting performance evaluations, enforcing safety and security policies, opening/closing the store, analyzing sales and inventory trends, maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring financial integrity and cashier accountability, and ensuring a clean, well-organized store with proper merchandising and signage. Emphasizes leadership, communication, and adherence to company policies and federal/state labor laws.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices (deposits, store keys, SAFE program, etc.)
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited standardization exists
