Job Summary
Store Manager in Greensburg, PA leads all store operations, including planning and implementation of processes for ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing, and support. Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees, provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and handles coaching or terminations when needed. Oversees staffing to ensure proper coverage, opens and closes the store at least twice weekly, analyzes operating statements for sales, profitability, and inventory issues, and ensures in-stock targets are met. Manages merchandising presentation, pricing, and signage, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces cashier accountability and cash control procedures, and delivers superior customer service leadership. Maintains a clean, safe, and compliant work and shopping environment and ensures adherence to company policies. Completes paperwork and documentation by deadlines in accordance with SOPs and employee handbook.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions to generate reports
- Knowledge of safety control policies and practices
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to solve problems in variable situations
- Bilingual Spanish speakers preferred for some locations
