Job Summary
Store Manager in Framingham, MA at Dollar General responsible for managing all store employees and executing end-to-end store processes including staffing, training, performance evaluations, payroll considerations, safety, opening/closing routines, inventory management, pricing and signage, cashier accountability, and maintaining a clean, safe, well-organized store. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to read and interpret documents related to safety rules and procedures
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to recruit, hire, train and supervise staff
- Understanding of federal and state labor laws and humane resource practices
- Ability to operate basic office equipment and IBM cash registers
- Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred in some locations
