Job Summary
Store Manager responsible for the management of all employees in the store, including planning and implementing store processes such as ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support. Duties include recruiting, training and evaluating staff, determining pay and advancement, communicating performance and safety expectations, opening/closing the store, analyzing sales and inventory trends, ensuring proper stock levels, maintaining merchandise presentation and pricing, safeguarding assets through cashier accountability and security practices, delivering superior customer service leadership, maintaining a safe and well-organized store, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Role requires strong knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, recruiting and coaching, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment in Derry, PA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes
