Job Summary
Store Manager at Dollar General in Corrigan, TX responsible for overall store operations, staff recruitment and training, scheduling, performance evaluations, inventory management, and ensuring cash control and customer service standards. Lead merchandising execution, ordering, receiving, stocking, and presentation; manage safety, security, and compliance with company policies; open/close duties and drive store performance through analysis of sales, profitability, and shrink. Strong emphasis on leadership, training, and adherence to federal/state labor laws, with possible preference for bilingual Spanish speakers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of management experience in a retail environment
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Ability to recruit, interview, hire, counsel and termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies
