Job Summary
Store Manager responsible for the management of all store employees and execution of store processes including staffing, training, performance evaluations, ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and safety/compliance. Key duties include recruiting and retaining qualified staff, training and evaluating employees, setting pay and advancement recommendations, ensuring proper staffing and opening/closing coverage (minimum two openings and two closings weekly), analyzing operating statements for sales, profitability, and shrink, managing inventory and in-stock targets via ordering plans, maintaining proper merchandise presentation and signage, ensuring cash control and security, delivering superior customer service, maintaining a clean and safe store, and adhering to SOPs and company policies. Qualifications emphasize high school diploma or equivalent, management experience, cash handling, inventory/merchandising knowledge, and compliance with labor laws; bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Ability to read and interpret documents; strong math skills; effective communication and interpersonal skills
