Job Summary
Store Manager overseeing all store processes and staff at Dollar General in Allendale, SC. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, evaluating and retaining employees; ensuring proper staffing and opening/closing procedures; monitoring operating statements, sales, profitability and inventory; managing replenishment, merchandising presentation, pricing and signage; maintaining cash controls, security, and compliance with policies; delivering superior customer service and maintaining a safe, organized store environment; requires strong leadership, retail knowledge, and ability to manage staff and store operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
- Ability to read and interpret documents and safety rules
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance and internal processes
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations
