Job Summary
Store Manager I leads store operations, drives sales, delivers customer service, and manages 2-10 store employees. Responsible for interviewing and hiring, training new employees, maintaining product knowledge and Roll Master fluency, handling cash and payments per SOPs, addressing potential issues proactively, coordinating with Regional Manager/Director of Sales, and ensuring a safe, compliant store environment within budget. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and customer-focused operations to achieve performance goals in a flooring/home-improvement retail setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- 3+ years of retail sales experience
- 1+ year supervisory or management experience
- Valid driver''s license and acceptable driving record
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn to operate a forklift
- Valid class C driver''s license
- Roll Master experience (preferred)
- Previous forklift certification (preferred)
- Hard surface flooring knowledge is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)
- Experience in working in the home improvement retail sector (preferred)
