Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations at the Family Store by intaking, processing, and pricing donations while overseeing point-of-sale systems for efficient profitability. Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate store employees and volunteers to ensure excellent customer service. Maintain a clean, safe, stocked environment compliant with The Salvation Army policies and operational best practices. Prepare and maintain accurate store sales and deposits. Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. with two years of retail management experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity, plus a valid driver's license. Schedule runs Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, totaling 58 bi-weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- one year equivalent college coursework in business, finance, or a similar field
- Two years of successful experience working in a field where producing and sustaining profit is a requirement
- at least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Valid State Driver's License
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to operate a cash register, perform mathematical computations, and count change
- Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light objects (less than 25lbs)
