Job Summary

Directly supervise sales workers in the grocery department while achieving sales and profit objectives within a specific operating budget. Manage daily operations including opening and closing the store, controlling inventory to prevent out-of-stocks, and ensuring all employees follow safety, health, and security rules. Recruit, interview, hire, train, evaluate, and manage store personnel performance, while enforcing company policies and maintaining accurate records of purchases, sales, and payroll. Monitor sales activities, build sellable displays, and prepare end-of-week reports sent to the corporate office. Maintain a favorable customer image through cleanliness, attractive displays, and employee conduct, while staying familiar with local competition and developing methods to expand markets.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Manager experience
  • Microsoft Office and other general computer knowledge
  • Access to a phone at all times
