Job Summary
Store Manager at Carter’s responsible for leading a team to deliver a welcoming, inclusive customer experience and driving store performance. Key duties include building a talent pipeline and succession plans, coaching and developing team members toward brand and product expertise, directing the Leader on Duty program, welcoming customers, and promoting loyalty programs. You’ll oversee merchandising and store operations, payroll and budgets, analyze KPIs, and drive omnichannel execution while maintaining loss prevention standards. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities, proficiency with technology (Outlook, Excel, and web navigation), and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with a solutions-oriented mindset. A high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of retail management experience are required; willingness to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.
