Job Summary

Lead the store by modeling sales behaviors, coaching the team, and managing labor to stay on budget while ensuring freight flows and zones remain sharp. Drive daily operations by pivoting quickly to handle fast changes, directing associates on the sales floor, and retrieving or restocking merchandise using ladders and pallet jacks. Balance operational execution with team development through real-time coaching convos, development check-ins, and labor planning to meet sales and TruRating goals. Work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to deliver a high-energy customer experience from the front door to the back room.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs
  • Ability to place/move merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
  • Ability to operate equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, and handheld devices
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of leadership experience where you've led teams and delivered results
  • Experience managing a store or large department — retail preferred but not required
  • You've grown from the inside — promotion from assistant or co-manager roles is a big plus
  • Comfort leading in fast-paced, high-volume, or high-complexity store environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative thinking
  • You're people-first and always teaching
  • You build others up while getting things done
  • You lead from the floor — clear, calm, and in control (but never micromanaging)
  • You stay cool under pressure and pivot like a pro when the day throws curveballs
