Job Summary
Lead the store from the floor by modeling selling behaviors, coaching associates, and managing labor to match business needs while keeping operations humming. Drive sales results, ensure zones look sharp, and maintain budget control through flexible team management. Balance customer wow moments with operational execution, including freight flow, stock retrieval, and compliance. Deliver on TruRating feedback, store scorecard performance, and team development goals. Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Creative thinking
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs
- Ability to place/move merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Ability to operate equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, and handheld devices
- Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing a store or large department — retail preferred but not required
- You've grown from the inside — promotion from assistant or co-manager roles is a big plus
- Comfort leading in fast-paced, high-volume, or high-complexity store environments
