Job Summary
Store Manager oversees daily operations of one or more self-storage locations with focus on customer relationships, sales through unit rentals and moving supplies, and maintaining high cleanliness standards. Responsibilities include building customer relationships through in-person and phone interactions, implementing a structured sales process, managing customer accounts, handling cash transactions and daily bank deposits, resolving billing and delinquent accounts, performing safety inspections, maintaining site upkeep, and coordinating administrative tasks such as auction files and budgeting. The role emphasizes leadership, operational excellence, financial reporting controls, and ensuring a positive customer experience across the facility.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer-facing work experience
- Leadership experience preferred but not required
- Sales experience preferred
- Current valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; except in New York City and Brooklyn
- High School diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus
