Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing, cash drawer balancing, and route coordination for deliveries. Manage inside sales efforts to drive profitability, resolve customer inquiries, and ensure accurate order processing and documentation. Lead and mentor a team of sales staff and drivers, conducting regular training on products, safety protocols, and mobile applications. Maintain inventory accuracy through receiving, stocking, and barcoding hardgoods and gas products while monitoring automated order reports. Conduct safety audits, ensure vehicle pre/post-trip inspections, and adhere to DOT regulations. Ensure the store meets cleanliness standards and adheres to branch look-and-feel guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of four years in the welding and gas or similar industry
- At least two years in a sales or customer service role
- CDL Class B required or willingness to obtain post-hire
- Ability to handle heavy materials, including cylinders and boxes
- Operate forklifts and occasionally drive a 2-ton truck with a lift gate
