Job Summary
Store Manager Candidate role supports the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising staff, managing staffing, inventory, stocking/receiving, paperwork, and store needs. Responsibilities include assisting in recruiting and staffing, merchandising, inventory management (damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, controls), meeting in-stock targets, providing customer service leadership, following procedures, store opening/closing, safeguarding funds, cashier accountability and cash controls, maintaining clean and safe stores, operating in the store manager's absence, reviewing operating statements for trends and opportunities, and completing required documentation. Qualifications emphasize ability to read and interpret documents, basic math, cash handling, familiarity with IBM cash register, inventory and merchandising knowledge, safety and security practices, recruiting and hiring practices, and strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual Spanish may be preferred in some locations. The role also notes travel with limited overnight stays and is equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates
