Job Summary
Store Manager Candidate role supporting the Store Manager in staffing, inventory management, merchandising, cashier accountability, and general store operations. Responsibilities include assisting with recruiting and staffing, staging and pricing merchandise, conducting inventories, meeting in‐stock targets, providing customer service leadership, opening/closing store activities, ensuring cash deposits and security, maintaining safe and well‐stocked facilities, reviewing operating statements for business trends, and completing required paperwork. Skills emphasized include staff development, retail operations knowledge, cash handling, merchandising, safety compliance, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates
- Ability to recruit, hire and train staff
- Knowledge of cash handling and inventory practices
- Ability to learn IBM cash register functions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
