Job Summary
Store Manager Candidate duties include assisting in recruiting and staffing, supporting store merchandising and stock management, overseeing inventory processes (including damages, markdowns, and paperwork), ensuring in-stock targets through ordering practices, providing strong customer service leadership, participating in opening/closing activities, and helping maintain financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash-control procedures. The role also involves safeguarding store safety, maintaining clean, well-stocked facilities, overseeing operations in the store manager’s absence, reviewing operating statements for trends, and completing required documentation. Preference may be given to bilingual Spanish speakers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit controls
- Ability to learn and perform IBM cash register functions, including those necessary to generate reports
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices
