Job Summary

Store Manager is responsible for operating the store to maximize sales and profit, including managing staffing, scheduling, inventory control, and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include training and supervising an Assistant Manager and other staff, coordinating with the District Manager and, as needed, Regional/Senior VP contacts; maintaining inventory accuracy and shrinkage targets (within 2.5% of annual sales, disciplinary action if exceedances occur); enforcing safety policies; communicating with customers and fostering a positive store environment; approving expenditures within set limits and ensuring daily/weekly payroll and budgets are managed; updating on-hand merchandise, coordinating promotions, and ensuring proper cash handling and reporting. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (AS/AA degree plus 2 years also noted), 3+ years of related store management experience, strong English communication, leadership, planning, coaching, and teamwork skills. Working conditions describe a retail environment with variable hours including evenings and weekends, and physical requirements related to lifting and stocking.
