Job Summary
Manage the store to maximize sales and profit while enforcing company policies and procedures. Maintain an outgoing rapport with customers, control inventory shrinkage to within 2.5%, and enforce safety policies. Employ and train assistant managers and other personnel, supervise weekly schedules, and operate within the assigned payroll budget. Verify merchandise receipts, manage cash funds, and update inventory levels daily. Order weekly merchandise, implement company programs, and maintain clean displays and office areas. Notify the District Manager of equipment problems, absences, and expenditures over $50.00. Work 48 to 52 hours weekly in a retail environment with scheduled shifts including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of related experience in store management
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Strong planning, coaching, analytical and communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented work style
- Retail store environment where extended periods of standing are required
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs from floor level to above shoulder height
- Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Retail store stockroom environment subject to fluctuations in temperature
- Scheduled work hours may vary, to include evenings and weekends
- Occasional use of ladders required
- AS/AA degree plus 2 years of related experience
