Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day store operations, supervise all store associates, and manage the retail facility to maximize profitability. Screen, hire, discharge, and train store associates while scheduling employee hours and preparing payroll. Open and close the store, manage receiving of merchandise, and ensure all pricing and markdowns are accurate. Maintain store records, facilities, and safety protocols, and relay advertising communications to implement advertised items. Submit suggestions to the District Manager and handle all store funds and deposits. Work at least 48 hours per week with on-call availability for emergency situations and busy seasons.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful retail experience
- 5+ years of progressive and successful operational leadership experience
- 3+ years of successful store/general management of a retail business
- As salaried associates, the store managers are required to work at least 48 hours per week and are expected to respond to emergency situations and busy seasons
- Job requires employee to remain on his or her feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time without being able to leave the work area
- Job requires that the employee regularly pick up objects
- Job regularly requires employee to reach for objects
- Job regularly requires employee to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending the legs and spine
- Job requires perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air
- Job requires expressing ideas by the spoken word
- Ability to comprehend basic instructions
- Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond
- Ability to interpret documents
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Western related industries
- Successful history in retail sales roles
- College degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
