Job Summary
Store Generalist at Uwajimaya in Bellevue, WA. Provide excellent customer service by learning basic competencies of various store departments, fill in customer service positions as needed, and assist departments in addressing customer needs. Direct customers to product locations, collaborate across departments to improve store efficiency, and support store-wide projects and events. Conduct product demonstrations including vendor demos, non-cooking demos, and cooking demos. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a Food Handler’s Card, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend shifts required. Starting pay $22.00/hr with range $22.00–$26.99/hr; benefits include health coverage, retirement plan, PTO, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler’s Card
- Prior retail experience and knowledge of Asian products, preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic math proficiency, familiarity with ten-key/calculator, and comfortable using computers
- Must be able to work at least one weekend shift
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and proactively work independently
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
