Job Summary
Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty, providing in-the-moment coaching to elevate team performance and communicating issues directly to the General Manager or Store Manager. Represent the brand by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire customer loyalty, while addressing concerns and resolving issues to maintain satisfaction. Support sales goals through effective customer engagement, identifying needs to offer relevant solutions and consistently meeting monthly revenue targets. Direct employees to ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, complete inventory transactions including receiving and return authorizations, and model adherence to all policies and standard operating procedures. Work 20 to 25 hours with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, maintaining regular attendance while lifting up to 50 lbs and operating POS systems.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older at the time of employment
- 1 year of retail management experience
- Must be able to communicate verbally
- Must be able to work cooperatively with associates and customers
- Must be able to remain standing for up to 4 hours at a time
- Must be able to move about the store coaching and directing associates
- Must be able to sell to customers
- Must be able to retrieve merchandise from stockroom or sales floor
- Must be able to grab, reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be able to lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders
- Must be able to operate a computer, POS system, keyboards, merchandise scanners and mouse
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in retail management systems
