Job Summary
Store Floor Lead at Sur La Table plays a key role in store success by inspiring customers through every stage of their culinary experience. In this leadership role, the Store Floor Lead supports the General Manager or Store Manager as Manager on Duty (MOD), drives in-store performance, ensures a best-in-class customer experience, oversees daily operations, and coaches the team to meet sales and operational goals. Responsibilities include leading the sales floor, onboarding and developing associates, maintaining product knowledge and brand representation, driving customer engagement and achieving sales KPIs (including average transaction value and customer conversion), managing inventory and compliance with SOPs, and ensuring wage and hour compliance while supporting a flexible part-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- 1 year retail management experience (preferably in specialty or culinary retail)
- strong leadership skills with ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high-performing team
- excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with associates and customers
- ability to stand for up to 4 hours
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays (20-25 hours per week)
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred
