Job Summary
Store Driver responsibilities include picking, staging, and delivering automotive parts to professional customers, assisting with returns, promoting current sales and loyalty programs, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking and inventory tasks, and engaging with walk-in customers to assess needs and recommend parts or services. The role requires safe driving, use of delivery/inventory systems, strong communication, and a willingness to learn about products and sales techniques. Education listed as a high school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license with a good driving record; English proficiency (Spanish a plus); ability to work days/evenings/weekends; physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (Spanish a plus)
- Basic math skills for unit conversions and handling transactions
- Ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
- Prior automotive parts experience is preferred but not required
- No formal degree beyond high school required
- Ability to engage with customers and upsell/cross-sell products
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
